Cortex is Assaf Wizman (born in '84) from southern Israel, deeply connected to Goa Trance and Psychedelic music since the age of 15. With over two decades of producing memorable releases for top labels in the genre, he has collaborated with artists such as GMS, Talamasca, Karan, Etnica, Juno Reactor, Eat Static (winning the official remix contest), Infected Mushroom, and many more, earning widespread acclaim. Assaf is involved in several projects, including Israeli Sphinx, Boom Structure, Cortex vs. Jaws, Antimatter, Cortex On Chill Out, Tempo Shrine, Xetroc, and Blanx. He also works as a sound engineer in a post-production studio in Israel. Cortex has played on major and underground stages worldwide, in countries like Mexico, the USA (East and West Coast), Portugal, Spain, Austria, Hungary, Malta, France, Israel, Switzerland, Germany, the Czech Republic, and India. He has released at least eleven full-length albums and fourteen across his various projects.
